I’ve just returned from of my quickest vacations ever and I’m so glad it was at Le Meridien, Mahabaleshwar.
Initially, I had asked for an early check in, since 3pm check in meant loosing out on half a day of my holiday. They couldn’t make that happen, but they certainly made up for it in every possible way.
We got bumped up from a forest facing to a valley facing room! We got a room filled with balloons and rose petals for our anniversary celebrations! We had complimentary cake and chocolate dipped strawberries! Phew!
The rooms are large, the view is breath taking, the bathrooms are comfy and the bed is cozy!
My favorite part of the property has to be the infinity pool. The weather was chilly, but the water was just perfectly warm. It’s a temperature controlled pool and it overlooks the gorgeous valley.
I wish it were a little less crowded, so I could have seen the sunset up close, with my husband. But we had it to ourselves a little past sunset, which wasn’t so bad either.
The property has a couple of eating options – Chingari, the Indian restaurant, that boasts of a zero oil menu. All their dishes are made in pure ghee.
The Woods, the forest themed restaurant, which is where we had our dinner. This restaurant has a set menu – mostly sizzlers with a soup, a starter and desert. The food here too was so clean and non oily and spice – free.
Their Buffet restaurant is called, The Latest Recipe, we had our breakfast there. Their south Indian and other Indian breakfasts were superb!
Longitude 73 is their bar, where you can enjoy your happy hours every evening, as a guest of the hotel, from 7pm – 9pm.
Lastly, the Plunge Bar, which is as the infinity pool. We did have a Cold Coffee and Americano and yes! it’s definitely some good quality coffee they’re serving there.
Le Meridien,Mahabaleshwar, has not only thought of the big stuff, but they’re also all about the tiny details.
Providing us with both kinds of Tabasco at the table in restaurants to providing 2 sets of shampoos and moisturizers in the rooms. Having a button on their phones in the room to call your buggy (coz God knows you really need one) to keeping a handy, full power, blow dryer in the bathrooms. This hotel, has thought of it all.
The staff is warm, friendly, smiley and courteous. They know their resort well and they’re all just eager to please. Feels like they’ve been handpicked to be part of this supremely hospitable property.
You could be a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a family looking for activities for all age groups, a group of buddies looking for a boys night out or even an all girl gang looking to let their hair down for a spinster party! This resort can cater to your every need and that’s what makes it so MAGICAL!
This forest resort is interspersed with some cute installations across and makes for some amazing photo ops for you and your closed ones.
If you haven’t already booked a room, What are you waiting for?
Psssst: One night is not enough! 😉
